CircleMarket ("we", "us") operates an online marketplace connecting buyers with traders in Ghana. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and your rights over it.
2. Information we collect
- Account data: name, email, phone number, password (hashed).
- Seller data: shop name, stall number, logo, banner, business description.
- Transaction data: orders, bargains, messages, reviews, pickup selections.
- Payment data: processed by Paystack — we never store card numbers or Mobile Money PINs.
- Technical data: device type, browser, IP address, usage analytics.
3. How we use your data
- To create and manage your account.
- To process orders, bargains, payments, and pickups.
- To enable communication between buyers and sellers.
- To improve the platform and prevent fraud.
- To send transactional notifications (order updates, bargain replies).
4. Sharing
We share data only with: payment processors (Paystack), authentication providers (Google sign-in), and infrastructure providers used to run the service. We do not sell your personal data.
5. Data retention
We keep your data while your account is active and for as long as needed to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.
6. Your rights
You may access, correct, or delete your account data at any time from your account settings, or by contacting us. You can also withdraw consent for marketing communications.
7. Security
We use industry-standard encryption in transit (HTTPS) and at rest. Access to personal data is restricted to authorised personnel only.
8. Children
CircleMarket is not intended for users under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via the app or email.
